Currently, one of his magnum opus- a wood-book encompassing social messages- is in the process of getting registered in the Guinness Book of World Records in Delhi.

"The book is first of its kind and is currently in the process of getting registered in Guinness World Records. The idea was to promote the social message of 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' in a unique way," Sahu told ETV Bharat.

The wooden book has 44 pages inscribed with social messages, such as ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and water conservation.

Now, the wood sculpture expert's son has decided to follow his father's footsteps.

"I completed my computer engineering and started working in Noida. After some time, I quit my job to continue this ancestral art. My father has been doing wood sculpturing for the past 35 years and I wish to learn from him as I want to strengthen my father's legacy, " told Kedarnath Sahu.

Apart from his son, he is also teaching the art of bringing life in lifeless wooden slabs to a few young men from nearby villages.

Today, Sahu is living a happy and satisfying life for he is doing what he does best and is passionate about.
