At least five people were killed in a ghastly road accident in Madhya Pradesh's Umaria district late on Sunday night. A car collided with a tree on the Pali Road in Umaria district bordering Shahdol. The deceased included inspector Pushpendra Tripathi who was posted in the Mineral Department, Shahdol.

Umaria (Madhya Pradesh) :Five individuals lost their lives instantaneously when a high-speed vehicle they were riding in collided with a roadside tree. This tragic incident occurred during their journey back from a birthday celebration on Pali Road, located in the Umaria district adjacent to Shahdol in Madhya Pradesh, late Sunday night. Among the deceased are Inspector Pushpendra Tripathi, who was serving in the Mineral Department in Shahdol, and Avinash Dubey Shahid, a dedicated Public Service Manager.

The incident, yet another grim reminder of the perils of speeding, occurred under the jurisdiction of the Ghunghuti outpost in Umaria district. The ill-fated vehicle, while speeding down NH43 in Majhgawan village, lost control and crashed into the tree, causing extensive damage to the car.

According to the information provided by SDOP Pali, three of the passengers lost their lives at the scene, while the remaining two succumbed to their injuries while being transported to Shahdol District Hospital. The tragedy sent shockwaves through the community, leaving friends and families grief-stricken.

The victims of this heart-wrenching accident included Inspector Pushpendra Tripathi, who was serving in the Mineral Department of Shahdol district, and Avinash Dubey, a dedicated Public Service Manager working in the Collectorate office. Additionally, three other individuals, who were part of the birthday celebration at Madari Dhaba, met a tragic end as their vehicle veered off the road and collided with the tree.

Late at night, as news of the accident spread, local residents and law enforcement personnel rushed to the scene to assist. The lifeless bodies were subsequently transported to Pali. The Majhgawan area, where the accident occurred, falls under the jurisdiction of the Pali police station. Following this tragic event, the customary procedures of Panchnama and post-mortem will be carried out, and the bodies will be handed over to the bereaved families. This unfortunate incident serves as a sombre reminder of the consequences of reckless driving, highlighting the need for greater caution on the roads.
