Mutilated body of 'missing' girl found in Madhya Pradesh

A mutilated body of a minor girl was found in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district. As per the report, the minor who had reportedly gone missing a week ago was killed, packed in a plastic bag and buried.

Sagar: A mutilated body of a seven-year-old girl, who allegedly went missing last week from Navari Khurd village in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district, was found near her house on Saturday. As per the report, the minor was killed, packed in a plastic bag and buried. The body was recovered in mutilated form as animals had eaten some parts. The girl went missing a week ago but her parents reported the incident to police only on July 7. The police have detained a few persons and interrogating the matter.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Additional Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh said that the police got information that a dead body has been found in mutilated condition at Niwari Khurd village. "We have filed an FIR against the matter and rounded up some suspects who are being interrogated," he added. The police sources also said that prima facie, involvement of family members is suspected. The victim along with her sister and mother lived with stepfather. They further said that the deceased's father and stepfather have been detained and are being interrogated.
