MP: Wishes of getting married come true in Harda's Dulha Dev Temple

Dulha Dev Temple in Madhya Pradesh's Harda is believed to make wishes of getting married come true. Hundreds of youngsters who face complications in getting married prayer to Dulha Dev at the temple on the occasion of Bhai Dooj. After they get married, the couple re-visit the temple next year for darshan and pay their obeisance.

Harda (Madhya Pradesh): Following the historic belief that prayers for marriage get fulfilled, hundreds of unmarried youngsters each year pay visit to Dulha Dev Temple in Harda on the occasion of Bhai Dooj.

The famous temple in Junapani village of Harda is believed to be a turning point for many people as the temple is signified as the place of redemption from evil spirits that hinders a person's wedding.

Dulha Dev Temple remains crowded with hundreds of people each year on Bhai Dooj after Diwali as it is believed that Dulha Dev will bless the couple and will pave the way for their successful marriage by removing all the obstacles.

"Unmarried youngsters come here to pray and seek blessings from Dulha Dev on Bhai Dooj. After getting married the couple visit the temple again for darshan and pay their obeisance after it gets reopened next year," said the temple priest.

As sisters observe Bhai Dooj by praying for their brothers' long and healthy life, families who believe 'Dulha Dev' to be their deity visit the temple to make their wishes come true.

Harda: Dulhadev Temple draws millions of unmarried youngsters praying for early marriage on day of Bhai dooj every year

Harda: There exists a temple in Juna Pani village of Harda that is believed to be a turning point for people who are facing impediments in getting married. The Dulhadev Temple is crowded with hundreds of people every year on the day after Diwali i.e on the occasion of Bhai dooj. The belief that a visit to this temple will remove all obstacles and pave the way for an early marriage has been intact throughout the years. 


"When unmarried boys and girls come here and pray to Dulha Dev, they get blessed and by the time the temple gets re-opened the next year, they get married," said the Temple priest. For years, the temple has the reputation as a place of redemption from evil spirits that hinder a person's wedding.


In the festival of Bhai dooj that signifies a brother's vow to protect his sister, families who believe 'Dulha Dev' to be their family deity visit the temple's fair in crowds. The devotees seek blessings for early marriage. A unique ritual associated with this temple is that those praying for an early marriage are supposed to come back to the temple, the next year with their respective spouses once they are married.

हरदा के उड़ा गांव के दूल्हादेव मंदिर में मान्यता है कि जिन युवक-युवतियों की शादी नहीं हो रही हो यहां आकर मन्नत मांगने से पूरी हो जाती है.  

हरदा। शहर के उड़ा गांव में एक ऐसा मंदिर है, जहां की मान्यता है कि जिन युवक-युवतियों की शादी नहीं हो रही हो, यहां आने से उनकी शादी की मनोकामना पूरी हो जाती है. दूल्हादेव के इस मंदिर में दीपावली के दूसरे दिन यानी भाई दूज के मौके पर हर साल लगने वाले मेले में सैकड़ों की संख्या में लोग दर्शन करने पहुचंते हैं. सालों से चली आ रही इस मान्यता के कारण ये मंदिर आज भी आस्था का केंद्र है.  

दूल्हा देव के मंदिर की मान्यता है कि जिन युवक ओर युवतियों की शादी में किन्ही कारणों से बाधा आती है, उनके द्वारा यहां आकर दूल्हादेव के सामने मत्था टेकने से शादी हो जाती है. वहीं मन्नत पूरी होने पर जोड़े अगले साल साथ आकर दर्शन कर भेंट चढ़ाते हैं.

दीवाली के दूसरे दिन भाई दूज पर इस मंदिर का नजारा अलग ही रहता है. भाईदूज में जहां बहनें अपने भाई को तिलक लगाकर उनके स्वस्थ रहने और लंबी उम्र की कामना करती हैं. वहीं उड़ा के दूल्हादेव जिन परिवारों के कुलदेवता माने जाते है, वे परिवार और सैकड़ों की संख्या में भक्त इस मंदिर में आते हैं.
