Harda (Madhya Pradesh): Following the historic belief that prayers for marriage get fulfilled, hundreds of unmarried youngsters each year pay visit to Dulha Dev Temple in Harda on the occasion of Bhai Dooj.
The famous temple in Junapani village of Harda is believed to be a turning point for many people as the temple is signified as the place of redemption from evil spirits that hinders a person's wedding.
Dulha Dev Temple remains crowded with hundreds of people each year on Bhai Dooj after Diwali as it is believed that Dulha Dev will bless the couple and will pave the way for their successful marriage by removing all the obstacles.
"Unmarried youngsters come here to pray and seek blessings from Dulha Dev on Bhai Dooj. After getting married the couple visit the temple again for darshan and pay their obeisance after it gets reopened next year," said the temple priest.
As sisters observe Bhai Dooj by praying for their brothers' long and healthy life, families who believe 'Dulha Dev' to be their deity visit the temple to make their wishes come true.
