Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): The Chhatarpur police on Sunday arrested a person from Rajasthan on charges of blackmailing Congress MLA Neeraj Dixit. During the interrogation, the accused said he used to dress like a woman and dupe people for money.
Dixit, the MLA from Maharajpur Assembly constituency in MP's Chhatarpur district, was being blackmailed using a pornographic video.
On May 22, he had filed a police complaint stating that an 'unidentified woman' had made a video call to him during which she performed obscene acts. She recorded the video, and then started blackmailing him and extorting money.

Chhatarpur Police SP Sachin Sharma had constituted a team to investigate the case. The team traced the phone number to Rajasthan, from where the accused was arrested.

The accused, during interrogation, revealed that he used to dress like a woman and dupe people. Police said he admitted to recording videos during the call and later blackmail the callers.
According to the police, the accused extorted around Rs 14 lakh from 21 people.
