Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Tourism Corporation has decided to keep separate kitchens for vegetarians and non-vegetarians in restaurants across the state. Tourism Minister Usha Thakur on Sunday issued orders in this regard. In the order issued by Thakur, she said, "It is very important to have cleanliness and honesty in preparing food. Food directly affects our mind and health." On the instructions of Minister Usha Thakur, the Tourism Corporation has issued orders to keep separate sections for making veg and non-veg food in the kitchens of all the units.

Keeping this in mind, instructions have been given to keep separate kitchens for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food in all Madhya Pradesh Tourism Corporation hotels. The instructions will be strictly followed so that nutritious and healthy food can be served to all the tourists. It has also been mentioned in this order of Tourism Development Corporation, in which freeze, deep-freeze, knife and chopping board will be kept separately.

Earlier, former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Raghunandan Sharma also written a letter to Tourism Development Corporation and Minister Usha Thakur regarding this and demanded separate kitchens for making non-vegetarian and vegetarian food in restaurants. The move was lauded by the people as they can consume the food without any hesitation.
