Gwalior: Police on Tuesday registered FIRs against Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Munnalal Goyal, Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Satish Sikarwar, former CM Kamal Nath, Phool Singh Baraiya, Sunil Sharma and Ramnivas Rawat on Tuesday for violating COVID norms in a rally.
This comes after Gwalior Bench in the Madhya Pradesh High Court directed the administration to lodge complaints against political parties, leaders, institutions and individuals by October 19. The bench was hearing a PIL over the violation of the COVID guidelines on Monday.

Petitioners Sanjay Dwivedi, Rajiv Sharma, Vijay Dutt Sharma and Ashish Pratap Singh presented photographs and videos of political leaders before the bench of Justice Sheel Nagu and Justice Rajiv Srivastava.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court directed the administration of seven districts to examine the status of all the evidence submitted by the petitioners.
The bench ordered Gwalior subdivisional magistrate that all the seven district administrations, falling within the jurisdiction of the bench, must be updated about this directive by October 14 through information and electronic communication.
Records of FIRs registered against the institutions and individuals should be presented before the Gwalior bench of the MP High Court.
Earlier, on October 3, Madhya Pradesh High Court issued an order stating that the government should follow the guidelines of COVID-19, which involves two yards of space between the people and regular use of mask including hand sanitisation.
