Dewas (Madhya Pradesh): At least two died and sixteen people have been rescued in the Dewas building collapse incident in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday evening, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Dewas said.
A two-storey building collapsed at the Station Road near Lal Gate in Dewas.
The rescued people have been sent to the hospital, said Jagdish Dawar, ASP.
"Due to the heavy rains happening in the state from the past two-three days is one of the reasons for this incident," NDRF Director-General said.
I had talked to the owner of the building, he said that the building was constructed five-six years ago, Director-General added.
According to the sources, over 12 people were trapped under the debris. The building belongs to the person named Zakhir Sheikh.
