Indore: Indore police is investigating the MDMA drugs case and has arrested a few more peddlers including the operator of a news portal.
The arrested accused were wanted by the crime branch for long along with Raes, another accused who was arrested.
The accused Shahid used to peddle drugs under the cover of the news portal and he also told police that during the lockdown he used to hang the ID of his news channel around the neck and go to various areas including Chandan Nagar, Sadar Bazar and other areas where he had to smuggle drugs.
Due to this, the police also let him go and he managed to smuggle drugs more than worth Rs 1.5 crore so far.
At present, the police are engaged in interrogating the arrested accused.
Police have arrested around 25 accused from Hyderabad, Mumbai, Rajasthan and other places in the case of MDMA drugs so far.

Many teams are also conducting research in other states in the matter.
Many people have been identified by the arrested accused based on which action can be taken in the coming days.
Indore police had arrested Ved Prakash of Hyderabad and Tents businessman of Mandsaur, Dinesh Aggarwal. Based on their statements, the police arrested the other drug smugglers in various states.
