Good Samaritan battles odds to offer healthcare services to destitute

Sunil Asrathi has been helping poor people in need of blood by starting online campaigns and social media groups. He has until now created nearly 250 social media groups and helped many in getting timely healthcare services.

Chhindwara: A ward boy from Madhya Pradesh hospital has been helping numerous people despite suffering from atrial septal defect (ASD), showing the world that service to mankind is service to god.

Sunil Asrathi has been helping poor people in need of blood by starting online campaigns and social media groups.

He has until now created nearly 250 social media groups and helped many in getting timely healthcare services.

Often he comes across patients whose own relatives leave them to die, but Asrathi makes sure they get help.

Once, a woman who was badly hurt at the Railway station was abandoned by everyone as her wounds were infested with worms. Asrathi took her to a hospital andn tended to the wounds until they were healed.

In 2013, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev offered him Ayurveda medicines free of cost. However, Asrathi turned down the offer, adhering to his ideals of not receiving anything free from anyone.

Recently, after Sunil suffered from a heart attack, his doctors have advised him to take rest at home and not to venture out.

Despite that, he keeps engaging with blood donors on social media sites and encourages them to donate blood for the needy.
