Indore MP most helpful during virus outbreak, says survey

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A survey has named lawmaker Shankar Lalwani as the most helpful in battling the coronavirus outbreak.

Out of a list of 300 MPs, Lalwani, of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who represents Indore city, stood first in being with people and helping them in their times of need amid the prevailing extraordinary circumstances, according to the survey by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.

"He has been fighting the coronavirus from day one itself, he made sure that none of the patients faced difficulties. He made the maximum number of ambulances and addressed the grievances of the locals," a source said.

The survey also looked at the work done by MPs in the sector of public awareness and initiatives taken by them in their parliamentary constituency, the work done for coordination between the central and state governments was also a key point in the survey.

Lalwani had earlier celebrated with the sanitation workers after Indore was named India's cleanest city for the fourth time in a row.
