Bhopal: BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia described former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, as the 'architect of modern India' before deleting the tweet.
He posted the tweet in tributes to Gandhi, who belonged to the Congress Party, on his death anniversary on May 21.
The Congress party said that Scindia had written the truth and deleted it due to pressure from his party.

Madhya Pradesh Congress spokesperson Narendra Saluja called the BJP leader a coward saying that "BJP Jan Sevak is so afraid ?, Too afraid to write the truth? This is Modi Shah's party, not Congress, where there is freedom of thought "
Congress MLA Jitu Patwari said that "Scindia might have deleted the tweet as he doesn't want to anger sultanate hind".
After getting into controversy BJP MP re-tweeted the post omitting the word architect from it. The new tweet said "tributes to the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary.”
