Bhind collector withholds revenue officers' salaries in MP

Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district collector has put on hold the salaries of all senior revenue officers including himself due to non-completion of this year's target.

Bhind: District collector Chhote Singh has withheld the salaries of all senior revenue officers of the district including himself due to lack of revenue collection.

Singh had issued orders to the treasury officer and other officers regarding the same on Thursday.

The collector also stated that due to non-completion of this year's target, the moratorium will continue till the situation is controlled.

The order stops the salaries of upper collector, SDM, Tehsildar, Deputy Tehsildar are also included.

The state government had fixed a target of Rs. 5 crore for the revenue of Bhind district this year, but till now the recovery has been much less than the target in the review. Therefore, the collector has withheld salary till the coming month.
