Creativity in crisis: 8-year-old makes boring face masks fashionable with crystal stones

An 8-year-old girl hailing from Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal is keeping herself busy by designing fashionable face masks with cotton, cloth, crystal stones and other decorative items. If you are tired of wearing your same old mask over and over again, take a cue from Mishti.

Bhopal: COVID-19 lockdown has undoubtedly confined children to their homes, but it hasn't surely hindered the flow of their creative juices.

Mishti Srivastava hailing from Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal who is keeping herself busy by designing fashionable face masks (or more specifically party wear masks) with cotton, cloth, crystal stones and other decorative items.

In a bid to make her sister's first birthday memorable, the 8-year-old girl converted the boring masks into fashionable ones, to keep up with the spirit of party and simultaneously maintain the safety of family members.

Talking about her creativity, she said," I made this for the family members who will be attending the birthday of my sister in June. It will cover the entire face and hence more protective."

"My father has helped me in the whole process. This mask is similar to the three-layer mask that is found in market starting from safety to reusability," she told ETV Bharat.

However, if you are tired of wearing your same old mask over and over again, take a cue from Mishti.

As donning mask will become new normal for people in the coming days, fashion experts sense that that many types of fashionable masks will be available in the market and will soon it become a fashion statement.
