Women officers to helm Kerala IPS association

The Kerala IPS association elected R Sreelekha, Director General of Police and Commandant General of State fire force department as the president of Kerala IPS association.

Thiruvananthapuram: In a first, two women IPS officials were elected to helm the State IPS Association.

The Kerala IPS association elected R Sreelekha, Director General of Police and Commandant General of State fire force department as the president of Kerala IPS association.

Harshitha Attalluri IPS, Inspector General of Police, was elected as the secretary of the association.

When Sreelekha will retire from service this December, a re-election to the position will be held.

There was a move to field DGP Tomin Thachankari for the position. But Thachankari nominated Sreelekha to the post of president.

S. Hari Shankar IPS was elected as the Joint Secretary of the association.
