Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala): The State Industrial Security Force (SISF), a wing of the state police take over the security arrangements of the Kerala Secretariat and its premises from today. 92 armed SISF personnel have been deployed in the Secretariat.
The government decided to increase the security in the wake of incidents of security breaches in the Secretariat during protests. From now onwards, the entry to the Secretariat will be subjected to strict security checks. Only those with a special pass are allowed to enter the premises.
The SISF will be headed by the Thiruvananthapuram City Police Commissioner. Strict legal action will be taken against those who trespass inside the Secretariat.
