Trivandrum (Kerala): To regulate and streamline the Ayyappa devotees for darshan at Sabarimala temple, online booking for Sabrimala Virtual Queue Coupon of the upcoming 2019-2020 pilgrimage season has commenced.
With the combined effort of Kerala police department, Devaswom board and KSRTC, Sabarimala Virtual Q-system software has been designed for the pilgrimage season starting from October to January.
The new system, known as Digitised Pilgrim Management, has been implemented soon after the Supreme Court judgement.
To register their visit, devotees can log on to www.sabarimalaonline.org and submit their details of name, age, address, photograph, scanned copy of identity card and mobile number to book their place in the virtual queue.
Each visitor needs to book their details individually.
Devotees are facilitated to select the date and time for their visit from the calendar provided on the web portal. Bookings are not required for children under the age of five. Children above 5 years can use their school identity card for booking.
A special virtual queue coupon which is generated through Virtual Q or Swami Q Coupon is available for each visit booked online.
After completing the booking, the coupon will be sent to the registered email address with details of devotee's name, photograph and scheduled date and time of the visit.
As a part of Crowd Management, the virtual queue coupon gets verified by the police at the Anjaneya Mandapam at Pampa Ganapathi temple on the day of visit which in turn saves the time of the pilgrims.
Pilgrims coming through the virtual queue system are allowed to join the queue at Sannidhanam Nadapanthal.
For booking a slot, more information can be obtained from www.sabarimalaonline.org or devotees can access the helpline number 7025800100.
