Sabarimala revenue crosses Rs 66 crore

The Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala has crossed Rs 66 crores revenue during the Mandalam season as compared to the Rs 39 crores last season. Since the opening of the first Malayalam month of  'Vrischikam', there have been over five crore coins to be counted. Dhanalakshmi Bank will provide more machinery for this purpose.

Sabarimala: The revenue of Sabarimala temple has crossed Rs 66 crores during the Mandalam season.

This is the report from the first day and the temple opened till December 5 for the Mandala Makaravilakku Puja festival. Last year's revenue for the period was Rs 39 crores.

According to Travancore Devaswom Board Member N Vijayakumar, as of Dec 5, the total revenue of Rs 66,11,07,840 has been reported.

But in 2017, there was an influx of Rs 74,67,36,365.

Since the opening of the first Malayalam month of 'Vrischikam', there have been over five crore coins to be counted. Dhanalakshmi Bank will provide more machinery for this purpose.

As many as 40 people from the temple art gallery will be in Sannidhanam from Monday for counting coins. After that, each day's collection will be counted on the same day.

There is a huge increase in the number of devotees in comparison to last year.
