Kasargod: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday conducted raids across Kasargod and Palakkad districts, in connection with the ghastly Easter day explosions in Sri Lanka.
According to the police, the raids were held in two private residences in Vidyanagar, after evidence emerged that the suspects are followers of Zahran Hashim on social media, the alleged organiser of the Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka.
The NIA team seized mobile phones from their residence, and notice has been issued for taking them into custody.
According to the officials, suspects have to report to the NIA office in Kochi for further questioning.
Eight explosions rattled various suburbs in the Sri Lankan city of Colombo, Negombo, Kochchikede and Batticaloa as the Christian community celebrated Easter Sunday on April 21.
Sri Lanka has been in a state of emergency in the aftermath of the bombings.
