Wayanad: The Congress party's Rahul Gandhi launched his campaign in Wayanad with a roadshow at Mananthavady, which started from Erumatheru and ended at the bus stand.
Addressing voters at Gandhi Park he said that he was ideologically opposed to the Left, but he did not hate them. He blamed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for not getting enough support even though he had put pressure on the Centre to set up a medical college in the district and resolve the buffer zone issue.
He said that if the UDF comes to power, it will solve 90% of the problems Wayanad was facing. Gandhi is scheduled to return to Wayanad on Sunday for more campaigning accompanied by his sister Priyanka Gandhi.
