Thrissur: Police arrested three men on Monday for manhandling and shooting a tyre repair shop owner in Koorkkanchery in Thrissur district.
Manikandan sustained injuries on his leg in the incident that happened on Sunday night. Shafeeq, Ditto and Shajan who attacked the shop keeper were arrested on Monday by Thrissur East Police.
The gun used by the trio for the attack was found and seized by the police. The trio were booked under attempt to murder charges and a case was registered.
The gang avenged as the shop owner did not repair the puncture of the tyre that they had taken to him late at night a few days before. As the shop’s time was over, Manikandan had refused to repair it then.
The trio barged into Manikandan’s shop and physically attacked him around 8 30 pm on Sunday. Later, one of them took out the gun and shot him. Police reached the spot immediately and chased the trio who tried to flee and took them into custody. In addition, it was told that there were many criminal cases attached to Shafeeq.
