Kozhikode (Kerala): The Muslim League has denied natural justice to 'Haritha', the girl students' wing of the league, in a sexual harassment case against the office-bearers of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF), the federation's vice president Fathima Thahliya said on Wednesday. Upping the ante against her own federation, Fathima objected to the Muslim League freezing Haritha's state committee.

The issue pertains to MSF state president PK Nawaz and Malappuram district general secretary Abdul Wahab making objectionable remarks against the functionaries of Haritha. Fathima said though they filed a complaint against the MSF leaders with the Muslim League, no action was taken against the accused. This prompted them to file a formal complaint with the Kozhikode city police commissioner and the Kerala State Women's Commission.

Fathima alleged that the MSF got offended as Haritha's functionaries sought help from the police and the women's commission and hence froze the state committee of 'Haritha'. She said the MSF has demanded that the complaint against Nawaz and Wahab be withdrawn.

PMA Salam, state general secretary of the Muslim League, said he has sought an explanation Nawaz, Wahab and Malappuram district president of MSF Kabir Muthuparamba over their objectionable remarks.
