Strange sounds coming from house in Kerala; experts yet to ascertain cause

Mysterious sounds were heard from a house in Kozhikode, in Kerala over the last couple of weeks. A slight vibration was also being felt.

Kozhikode: Mysterious sounds were heard from a house in Kozhikode, in Kerala over the last couple of weeks. A slight vibration was also being felt. Prompting officials from the geology department, fire force to visit the house on Wednesday, where mysterious sounds were emanating, but unable to ascertain the reason for the sound. The officials have conducted tests and a clear-cut finding is awaited.

Kerala Minister A K Saseendran also visited the house on Tuesday after the house owner conveyed the matter to him and Saseendran assured him that necessary examinations would be carried out by the departments concerned.

Mysterious sounds were heard from the house in Vellimadukunnu, baffling occupants and neighbours for quite some time. Sound similar to a huge hammer blow lingered for over last two weeks through day and night. Biju and his family pondered over the exact location where the sound has been emanating, however, they remained inconclusive. The house is situated at Polur near Parambil Bazaar in Kozhikode.

Biju and his family have been residing in the house for more than five years with solace and it is for the first time that such a mysterious thing has emerged.

Locals said largescale earth flattening works had been carried out around this area and that could have been a possible reason for such a phenomenon. The government had evacuated people from this area during floods due to the chances of landslides.
