Kozhikode: Indian Union Muslim League leader and Member of Legislative Assembly, KM Shaji alleged that he was threatened by Mumbai based hitmen.
Addressing a press conference in Kozhikode on Monday, Shaji alleged that a person from Pappinisseri in Kannur district assigned Mumbai based mercenaries to kill him.
Reserving all details about the person who informed him, Shaji said that the information was leaked from a telephonic conversation of a local political leader. He further clarified that he would not make any political allegations over the threat to his life now.
He added that he would remain undeterred in his political stance. Reportedly, Shaji complained to the Chief Minister, Speaker and the State Director General of Police about the incident.
