Kollam (Kerala): A toddler, who was stuck inside a car and was gasping for breath, was rescued by the locals. The incident took place on Friday near the Kundara Hospital junction in Kollam district.

While the exact reason for the man leaving his two-year-old alone in the car is yet to be ascertained, the locals gathered upon seeing the plight of the kid in the car. Vincent, a local ambulance driver, smashed a window of the car and pulled the toddler out.
The child was later taken to a nearby hospital. The man walked back to his car at least half an hour later, during which he was confronted by the people.
Police later summoned relatives of the toddler and handed him over to them. The man was taken into police custody.
