Ernakulam: A three-member gang killed a youth in front of a bar-hotel at Athani in Kerala's Ernakulam district on Sunday.
The local people remained mute witness to the incident out of fear. The incident was recorded in the CCTV camera installed near the hotel.
According to sources, the deceased Binoy (34) was the son of late Varkey.
The local police said that Binoy was also named in several cases and had been booked even under the Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention)Act (KAAPA).
"The internal rivalry between the 'goonda-gangs' resulted in clashes which led to his death," said police.
Rural Superintendent of Police K Karthik said that the accused has been identified and an investigation team has started the probe.
