Thiruvananthapuram: Taking a jibe at the words allegedly used by the Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan to the media persons during one of his meetings years back, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala on Saturday said that the people of Kerala would soon ask the Chief Minister to 'Get Out.'

Chennithala alleged that Kerala is an utter failure in the agriculture sector.

"Though the government had announced various projects in the sector, not even one project has been implemented," he said while inaugurating his "Aiswarya Kerala Yatra' at Perinthalmanna in Malappuram district.

He also alleged that the industrial sector in the state is also in shambles.

"The CM had claimed that Kerala would receive Rs. 1 lakh crore as foreign investment. Can they show at least Rupee 1 investment? The non-resident Keralites who had earned money aborad through hard work and want to invest it in Kerala to eke out a living are now contemplating suicide," Chennithala said.

He alleged that the promise of the CM that bodies of Keralites who die abroad would be brought to Kerala at free of cost, was also not fulfilled. "Has he brought home even one such body?" Chennithala asked.

Chennithala said that CM is worried about the public attention and adulation that the opposition leader is now garnering.

" I am not a person to ask people to stand seven feet away or to shoo away those come to take pics along or shout at people who come near me. UDF would always be there to wipe the tears of people who are suffering," he added.
