Kerala money laundering case: ED to interrogate all accused together

The ED has moved the court seeking custody of Sarith, Swapna Suresh, Sandeep Nair along with M Sivasankar who is already in their custody. The custody petition would be considered by the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court on Monday.

Ernakulam: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigating the case of money laundering and gold smuggling are planning to interrogate all the accused persons together.

The ED has moved the court seeking custody of Sarith, Swapna Suresh, Sandeep Nair along with M Sivasankar who is already in their custody. The custody petition would be considered by the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court on Monday.

ED is considering the new developments and revelations in the investigation after arrest and interrogation of former State IT secretary Sivasankar.

Meanwhile, interrogation of Sivasankar continued on the second day.

ED arrested and took Sivasankar under custody on October 28. As directed by the Court, questioning is allowed only between 9 a.m and 6 p.m.

On Friday night, after the questioning session, Sivashankar was taken to the Ayurveda hospital to get treatment for his backache.

The investigation agency said it is trying to collect as much evidence as possible against Sivasankar who has been arrested under the prevention of money laundering act.

ED officials, however, allege that Shivasankar has not been cooperating with the investigation.
