A migrant labourer named Ganpath Jangad from Rajasthan has donated Rs 10,000 to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund (CMDRF).

Kannur (Kerala): As the entire nation is fighting the novel Coronavirus in unity, people are showing their solidarity during these difficult times.

In such a gloomy situation, a migrant labourer named Ganpath Jangad from Rajasthan has donated Rs 10,000 to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund (CMDRF).

Ganpath Jangad, a marble worker in Kerala's Kannur, has set an example of humanity with his benevolence in helping out the state during the COVID crisis.

Speaking to the ETV Bharat, Ganpath said, “I am donating this money after seeing the miserable conditions of the people stranded in various places without food and suffering a lot."

“I am very delighted and content that I could contribute whatever little I can towards the CMDRF, to support the state’s COVID battle,” he added.

On Thursday morning, Ganpath reached the Taluk office and handed over his contribution towards CMDRF to the Tahsildar, V M Sajeevan.

Tahsildar, V M Sajeevan applauded the kind act of the migrant labourer and called the man as a source of inspiration for all.

Notably, Ganpath has been living in Thekki Bazaar in Kannur with his family for the past 25 years.
