Thiruvananthapuram: A 34-year-old man who was set on fire in Ernakulam city of Kerala by an auto driver, succumbed to his injuries on Friday, an official said.
According to reports, the accused perpetrator hurled a lighted bottle of petrol at Rijin Das who worked in the private hospital.
The incident took place when Rijin Das with his friend Pangajakshan were standing near a tea shop.
However, according to police, Pangajakshan who suffered from serious burns is currently undergoing treatment and his condition remains critical.

Sources say, the culprit suffered from some kind of health issues and he fled soon after committing the crime.
