Kottayam: Kerala Rajyasabha MP and KC(M) leader Jose K Mani has resigned from his post on Saturday. Mani submitted the resignation letter to Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu.
It is pertinent to be mentioned here that Mani has taken such kind of decision after Congress harshly criticised him for not resigning the Rajya Sabha MP post which he won while being part of the UDF.
Reports said that Mani resigned the Rajya Sabha MP post in order to contest the Kerala Assembly election from Pala constituency.
Notably, the Rajya Sabha seat which will be vacant after Jose K Mani’s resignation is likely to be given to Kerala Congress.
