Kollam (Kerala): The Kerala Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) fined a girl for riding a bike without a valid licence and not wearing a helmet, after her video had gone viral on social media.
A few days back, a video of the girl riding a modified bike with the background score of a song titled 'Rakshasi', from the Malayalam movie 'Nammal' had gone viral on social media.
The video was widely shared across various social media platforms, and had garnered thousands of views.
The enforcement squad of the MVD later found the bike and the girl at Kollam's Punthalathazham. The squad fined the girl Rs 20,500 as per the directions of Mahesh, Road Transport Officer - Enforcement Wing.
The girl was fined for not wearing a helmet, not having a valid licence, and riding a modified bike.
