Kollam: A man in a critical state was found abandoned in a small house infested with worms in Kerala state, reports said.
Sixty-five-year-old Sankara Pillai has been living alone for a long time in Chathanur panchayath in Kollam district.
His neighbour, an autorickshaw driver used to give him food. On Wednesday he found the man in a critical condition and called the police before being shifted to a hospital.
After treatment, doctors said his condition is no more critical.
Neighbours said Pillai's relatives never took care of him and health workers did not give him proper medical treatment.
