Thiruvananthapuram: Even as the Left Democratic Front (LDF) gets a boost of confidence from the various exit poll predictions, and the United Democratic Front (UDF) remains anxious, there is hardly a day left to end the wait and know the actual results of the Kerala Assembly Elections 2021. The exit poll survey results released by the mainstream national media houses have predicted a second term for the ruling Left in Kerala.
In the Kerala Assembly with 140 seats, gaining 71 seats would make an absolute majority enabling to form a Government.
As per Republic TV - CNX survey, LDF would get 72 to 80 seats while the Congress-led UDF would lag with 58 to 64 seats. India Today-Axis My India Exit Poll survey predicts 104-120 seats for the LDF and 20-36 seats for the UDF. According to ABC News - C Voter survey, the LDF would get 71-77 seats while the UDF is to get 62-68. Times Now C Voter survey indicates that the LDF would get 74 seats and the UDF would get 65 seats.
The exit polls surveys results released by the major regional television channels in Kerala also hinted at a second term for the LDF. All channels unanimously predicted a clear upper hand for the LDF.
Though the UDF sees it as a ‘caution alarm’, the responses from the UDF leaders are such that the Front is not ready to accept the leads in the survey results. Opposition leaders Ramesh Chennithala stated that he does not believe in the exit polls and surveys. He alleged that the exit poll predictions being released are nowhere close to the actual truth.
