Thiruvananthapuram: Entry to all the temples under the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) will be allowed with restrictions from the beginning of Malayalam month of Chingam. The decision was made at the meeting of the Devaswom Board members held here on Tuesday.

Devotees would be allowed to enter the temple premises only in full compliance with the COVID guidelines. More than five people will not be let inside for darshan of the deity at the same time.

The darshan will strictly be regulated ensuring the recommended physical distancing norms owing to COVID pandemic. Devotees cannot make an entry before 6 in the morning and between 6.30 and 7.30 in the evening. Children below 10 years of age and elderly above 65 years of age must not visit the temples. They will not be allowed to enter the temples.

Earlier this month, the Travancore Devaswom Board had decided to allow entry of devotees at Sabarimala temple with a mandatory COVID negative certificate, during the Mandalakalam (the 41-day pilgrimage at Sabarimala starting from the Malayalam month of Vrishchikam 1 through Dhanu 11).
