Malappuram: Kerala Cartoon Academy secretary and noted caricaturist Thomas Antony (62) passed away early morning on Sunday at Kottakkal due to heart attack.
He had reached Kottakkal from Kottayam for a cartoon camp organized by the Chitrakala Parishath but suffered uneasiness during midnight.
Though he was rushed to the nearby hospital, his life could not be saved. He was the executive artist of Metro Vartha.
He had served Deepika newspaper and was Kottayam Press Club secretary.
The Kerala Cartoon Academy offered their condolences to the departed soul.
Thomas Antony had bagged several international awards in the caricature field. Known for drawing abstract caricatures, he conceived his own style and had bagged World Press Cartoon’s third prize in caricature.
