Kerala actress alleges harassment in shopping mall

The actress said she was groped by two men in a shopping mall in Kochi. The police said it will consider action after examining footage from security cameras at the mall.

Ernakulam: Kerala actress alleged that two youngsters misbehaved with her while she was shopping at a mall in Kochi. The police informed that they would register a suo moto case after examining the CCTV visuals. The actress shared about the incident in social media.

The actress's family had informed that they would not lodge a formal complaint in the incident.

The actress said, “Two youngsters had followed me, touched me and groped me. I initially thought that it was accidental. However, my sister had seen it all clearly. I was in a state of shock when the incident happened unexpectedly. I could not react immediately."

"When I tried to go up to them, the duo behaved as if they had not seen me at all. Later when I was at the cash counter, they came up and tried to talk to me.”

Meanwhile, the State Women’s Commission has informed that the Commission members would meet the actor in person and enquire the details.
