2 drown in sea in separate incidents in Thrissur, search on for the missing

A boy out of the four boys who entered into the sea at Kumarampady Beach, near Paranpady of Thrissur district on Monday, was rescued and one died. Search is on for the remaining two boys. In an another incident, one of the four boys who had got into the sea to bathe at Thalikkulam Thampankadavu, in Vadanappilly, drowned. Search is on for the remaining missing boys.

Thrissur (Kerala): Two boys drowned in the sea in separate incidents that happened at Kumarampady Beach, near Paranpady in Chavakkad and at Thalikulam Thampankadavu in Vadanappilly, in Thrissur District, here on Monday.

In the first incident, of the 4 boys who got washed away into the sea, one has been rescued. Vishnu (19), son of Babu from Blangad in Kumarampady died. Search is still on to find the Jishnu Sagar and Jaganathan, the other two missing boys.

The boys who had reached Blangad Beach to play cricket by 9 in the morning met with the accident.

While playing, as the ball got into the water, the boys were trying to retrieve the ball.

In an another incident, one of the four boys who had got into the sea to bathe at Thalikkulam Thampankadavu, in Vadanappilly in Thrissur, drowned.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Basith (17), son of Mujeeb residing to the North of Vadanappilly South Juma Masjid, a Plus one student with Vadanapilly Government High School.

The four boys went to the sea to bathe on Monday morning. Suddenly Basith got trapped in the waves. Though the people who were there on the beach pulled him out of the waters, his life could not be saved.

Search is on for the remaining missing boys.
