Woman films self-attempt to commit suicide with her son onlooking

Thirty-year-old Fathima, who live at Chandra Layout in Arundhathi Nagar, resorted to the extreme step as the police, according to reports, 'failed to investigate' a complaint which she had lodged against her relatives. She lodged the complaint against her mother Rafeeka Begum, Brother Zafar, his wife Sameena, older sister Ayesha Banu and her son Syed Kalil for misappropriating her bank savings over the period.

Bengaluru: Disappointed over 'police inaction', a woman attempted to commit suicide in front of her son. The disturbing incident came to light after a selfie video of it was shared several times in social media.

Thirty-year-old Fathima, who live at Chandra Layout in Arundhathi Nagar, resorted to the extreme step as the police, according to reports, 'failed to investigate' a complaint which she had lodged against her relatives.

Fatima had been working as a maid in the Gulf countries for the last five years. According to reports, she lodged the complaint against her mother Rafeeka Begum, Brothe Zafar, his wife Sameena, older sister Ayesha Banu and her son Syed Kalil for misappropriating her bank savings over the period.

Aggrieved by the police investigation of the matter, she filmed her attempt to commit suicide in front of her son. Fatima was later admitted to a hospital where she is currently 'battling for life'.
