Chitradurga (Karnataka): With no income owing to the current situation, a teacher at a private school in Karnataka's Chitradurga district is now selling vegetables to make ends meet.
Avinash, a resident of Chitradurga, worked as a physical education teacher at a private school.
However, with all schools shut owing to the coronavirus situation, private schools have stopped paying their teachers.
With no source of income, Avinash had no other option but to sell vegetables under the sun on the roadside.
Many private school teachers like Avinash are now demanding that they be given compensation in the same manner how the government is helping labourers and auto drivers.

However, Rambabu said that he is not the only one bogged down by the circumstances, as many like him have now been rendered jobless due to the adverse effect of the coronavirus induced lockdown.
