Bengaluru: Former Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa has been lobbying hard to get posts to his associates in new chief minister Basavaraj Bommai's new cabinet. Now the question has raised in political sphere that if BSY's opponents will get post in new cabinet?
BSY allegedly suffered more from his own party legislators than the opposition. Even from his close associates like Umesh Katti and Murugesh Nirani were upset from the beginning of the government formation. Separate meetings were held in the name of dinner at a private hotel by them. It is interesting to note that BSY's close associate Renukacharya has also attended the meeting.
It is speculated that it would be very difficult for MLA Basanagowda Patil Yatnal to find a place in the cabinet as he publicly criticized Yediyurappa and made corruption allegations against BSY and his son Vijayendra. In addition to this, the government has been embarrassed in the Panchamsali reservation issue after Patil's statements.
MLA Arvind Bellad did not criticize BSY in open, but he was participating in separate meetings. Later he started giving leadership change statements. And made his name in the list of CM race in front of the media. So it is believed it is going to be difficult for Bellad to get post in the news cabinet as well.
Yediyurappa faced unexpected criticism in the case of CP Yogeshwar. Despite opposition, BSY selected Yogeshwar to Vidhan Parishad, made him a minister. But Yogeshwar started making statement about leadership change. So it is said that BSY cannot show concern over Basanagowda Patil Yatnal, Arvind Bellad and CP Yogeshwar.
