Goruru (Karnataka): The Hassan police rescued a Kerala resident from kidnappers after intercepting the vehicle at Arakalgudu junction. Having obtained the info about the kidnap, the Hassan police blocked the road using a truck and earthmover. Though they managed to detain the vehicle for a short while in which the victim jumped out of the vehicle, the kidnappers managed to evade the police.
The victim, Anwar, 33 from Kasaragod in Kerala was kidnapped over some financial dispute. The Hassan police had received information that the kidnappers are heading towards Hassan. Sakleshpur Arakalagudu and Goruru police were waiting for the vehicle on Wednesday morning. In a careful plan, they placed a truck and earthmover at Arakalgudu junction. When the car reached the spot, the police intercepted the vehicle.
The plan succeeded as the victim managed to jump out of the car but the kidnappers managed to flee the scene in spite of police trying their best to stop the vehicle. The victim is safe and many residents who witnessed this action-packed drama captured it on their mobile phones. And, the visuals are going viral in the social media.
