Two killed in road accident in Karnataka

Two people died after a bus collided with their motorcycle near the Aruna Talkies in Karnataka's Davangere district. The two deceased named Basavarajappa and K M Swamy were returning home while the accident took place. Basavarajappa died on the spot while Swamy was rushed to the hospital but declared dead. The bus driver managed to escape but the vehicle was seized.

Davangere (Karnataka): Two died after a bus hit a motorcycle near the Aruna Talkies in Karnataka's Davangere district.

The accident took place on Monday when Basavarajappa and K M Swamy were returning on a bike to the home from Jangama Tumbakere in Harapanahalli taluk.

Basavarajappa, a resident of the SS Layout was a teacher and K M Swamy was working in the Apoorva resort.

While trying to overtake, the bus collided with the bike which pushed the bike-borne on the road.

Basavarajappa died on the spot while Swamy was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.

The bus driver has escaped and the bus was seized by the police.

Meanwhile, further investigation is underway.
