Vijayapura (Karnataka): Two people died and three were injured when an ethanol tanker exploded while welding in Karnataka's Vijayapura district on Saturday.
The incident took place at Nagadgauda Roadlines near Vijayapur city railway station.
According to sources, workers were welding the tanker in the garage when it exploded.

The deceased has been identified as Virendra Prajapati and Rajiname Gidde while the injured are Prakash Shirola, Vishwanath Badigera and Basavaraj Donur.
The injured have been shifted to Vijayapura District Hospital, said sources.
The Golagummata police visited the site and inspected the spot, added sources.
