Shimoga (Karnataka): A tiger nail sales network has been caught in Karnataka's Shimoga district. The East Zone of the Davanagere region has detected a network of illegal tiger nails steamers.
Police have made three arrests in Anandapuram of Sagara Taluk. Police have seized tiger claws from Onkesh, Vishwanath and Mohan, the three accused. A case has also been lodged at the Sagara Rural Police Station and the accused are being investigated.

The forest officials along with the police have also arrested a man, Santhosh, accused of killing a tiger and cutting off its legs for its nails. A police dog, Rana, was used to track down the accused. The dog took the police team to Santhosh's home from the spot where the tiger's body was found.
Police also found deer meat, four deer legs, two bullets and an iron ball in his house.
