Mysore(Karnataka): The Giraffe Kushi in the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens of Karnataka gave birth to a calf on Wednesday morning.
The health of both the mother Giraffe and the calf is stable, said the zoo officials.

Following the good news of the arrival of a new member at the zoo, animals lovers as well as the zoo staff got delighted, said the officials.
After a Python and a Tiger brought from the Pilikula Zoo, died due to the poor health, an atmosphere of pathos was prevailing around the area, but the birth of the baby Giraffe faded out all the shadow of sadness from the heart of people, the officials added.
The name of the new family member is yet to be decided.
