Temple and mosques in Chikodi submerged as Krishna river swells

Nine monasteries and mosques have been immersed in the water, due to the increased water-level. Devotees have been advised against going to temples by the administration.

Chikodi (Karnataka): Nine monasteries and mosques have been affected by heavy rainfall and increased water-level in the Krishna River basin in the Chikodi sub-division Belagavi district of Karnataka.

The temples on the banks of the Chikkodi, Nippani, Kagawada, and Athani taluks have been submerged in the water due to the increased water-level.

Devotees have been advised against going to temples by the administration.
