Mangalore: A 22-year-old spurned lover stabbed a woman in Deralakatte area of in Karnataka's Mangalore on Friday.
According to reports, the woman did not requite his love and the attack was an alleged act of revenge.
The incident came to light after a video recorded by a resident went viral.
Further, the accused had an argument with the woman and in a fit of rage stabbed her with a knife. Several people are heard shouting in the video, at the attacker, asking him to stop.
Following this, the man threatened the passerby and eventually slit open his own throat.
Meanwhile, passersby called an ambulance and both the victim and the accused were rushed to KS Hegde Medical College.
According to police, both are in critical condition. Further investigation is underway.
