Bidar(Karnataka): A play staged during the annual day of the school landed the school authorities in trouble after a case of sedition was booked against the school. The play on 'Anti-CAA Protests' allegedly insulted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a school in Bidar, a play was staged as the final programme for the annual day. The theme of the play was 'Anti-CAA Protest'.
In the play, one student asks what if Narendra Modi asks for the birth certificates of our parents while another student retorts to it, saying that 'we should demand the birth certificates of Modi's parents'.

These dialogues went viral in social media and few people brought it to the attention of the authorities. They alleged that the dialogues were seditious in nature.
The New Town police have registered a case in this regard.
Commenting on this, District Incharge Minister Prabhu Chauhan said that the play insulted the Prime Minister who has been elected by the people and therefore it is an insult to the country.
