Sedition Case: Kashmiri students shifted to Hindalga central jail

Three Kashmiri students who were arrested for raising pro-Pakistan slogans were shifted to Hindalga central jail from Hubli on Tuesday. The action came after they were assaulted by the members of right-wing organisations, instilling fear in them, leading to them being shifted to Belgaum.

Hubli: The three Kashmiri engineering students facing sedition charges were shifted to Hindalga Central Jail, Belgaum from Hubli on Tuesday.

The action came after members of right-wing organisations staged demonstrations outside the police station on Sunday, when they were released before they were re-arrested.

The police had come under severe criticism for releasing the youths on Sunday.

The accused were also assaulted by the members of right-wing organisations which instilled fear in them, leading to them being shifted to Belgaum.

The trio was arrested on Saturday for raising pro-Pakistan slogans and posting it on social media on the first anniversary of the terrorist attack that left scores of CRPF soldiers dead at Pulwama in Kashmir.
